Reduction of Plastic Packaging
A sustainable production method is an important factor in evaluating the sustainability of a product or brand. This includes, for example, the use of environmentally friendly materials and the implementation of measures to reduce energy and water consumption during production.
In the last 2 years, Powermints has been able to reduce 65% of its plastic consumption in packaging by either replacing plastic with recycled paperboard or by now using recyclable plastic.
By the end of 2023, further important steps towards plastic avoidance will be implemented.
Tinplate Can
80% of our total production involves filling our mints into tinplate metal cans. Tinplate is environmentally friendly as it is infinitely recyclable and has a recycling rate of 97% in Germany.
Powermints x Tree Nation
Powermints has partnered with the Tree Nation organization to achieve the following goals:
- To make all workplaces in the company climate-neutral by 2023
- To produce all products climate-neutral by the end of 2024
- To make the company climate-neutral by the end of 2025
For this purpose, we plant trees worldwide with Tree-Nation in reforestation projects. Together with our customers and partners, we will thus make an important contribution to the preservation of nature and endangered biotopes.
In addition, with every online purchase made by our customers, another tree is planted.
